Overview

Join us at Cambridge Junction for an evening of folk music from The Gigspanner Big Band, performing their recently released, highly acclaimed album Turnstone.

The six-piece Gigspanner Big Band includes some of the most influential names on the British folk-roots scene, with Steeleye Span fiddle player Peter Knight, multi-instrumental duo Edgelarks (Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin) and Bellowhead co-founder and melodeon player John Spiers joined by percussionist Sacha Trochet and guitarist Roger Flack.

The band is described as "a unique force in British folk music… their high-energy, virtuosic performances appeal equally to traditionalists and to those looking for something more experimental."

You can watch a trailer for the Turnstone album on Youtube.
