Pickup point: Lay-by adjacent to the Great North Museum, Claremont Rd, Newcastle NE2 4PT  (the Hancock) NZ 248651    The coach leaves at 10am  

Each week there is a choice of between 3 and 5 walks with different lengths and grades.

 Fare £10 - £15 on the coach, children up to 18 accompanied by an adult. £10 

 Please note masks must be worn on the coach.   Please do a lateral flow test if possible and do not come out if you have any symptoms of Covid 19

Bookings can be transferred with a minimum of 1 full weeks notice.   If you are booked for next weeks walk and cannot walk, please text 07816 176959 to let her know.                 You are welcome to try up to 3 walks before joining Ramblers 


EASY                   Up to 12km/7mls Up to 200m/500ft ascent

LEISURELY        12-16km/7-10mls Up to 300m/1000ft ascent

MODERATE      10-20km/8-13mls Up to 600m/2000ft ascent

STRENUOUS    Over 20km/13mls. Ascent may be over 600m/2000ft

You should be able to walk at least 8 miles, as sometimes an alternative path needs to be found.

Walking boots are required for all our walks as well as good outdoor clothing,

food for the whole day and a change of footwear.

If you have difficulty contacting the Booking Secretaries, please contact

the walks co-ordinator below.

Unfortunately dirty boots are not permitted on the coach.

On the return journey, take your belongings on the coach.  Items can

only be removed from the coach boot at the Great North Museum.
