We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Stoke Park Woods with its bluebells, then to the river and back up the hill. Sticks will be useful if there is a lot of rain but in a hot spell it is easy on good paths.
If the weather is very hot or wet, the route will be shortened.
There is one easy stile and one set of downward steps.
Please park at the back of the pub. The new management of the pub are pleased to welcome us but please either stay for lunch or stay for a drink after the walk.
The pub restaurant menu is on line. Please let let the leader know your choices by Tuesday 27th May as she will be phoning in orders. People should then feel committed to their orders as this pub is under new management. The pub will not be open as we start walking. Dogs welcome on a lead at some points-road crossing mainly.
The Fox & Hounds, 3 Winchester Road, Fair Oak, Eastleigh, SO50 7HB (It is at the brow of Crowd Hill. The correct postcode is 7HB but various SatNavs and the Ramblers website think it is 7GD).
