We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
It is a picnic walk. The walk will be about 5 miles long including shade and downland around Yew Hill butterfly reserve. Facilities are available before in the leader's house as well as for the picnic. There may be one or two stiles. There are certainly some gentle rises and good views. We will walk to the Yew Tree Hill and towards Compton.
Please bring a picnic for yourself and a seat. Picnicking will take place after the walk in the leader's house / garden (I hope for good weather). Picnics to be left in the house or your car as you please. The leader will provide soft drinks, tea and coffee.
It would be polite to let the leader know if you intend to come, using the email link, but booking is not essential.
