We leave the village pond and walk through the west of Aldbourne village to join the B4192, a minor road, which we then follow before turning left to join the Aldbourne Circular Route at New Barn, passing the Giant's Grave and a Roman field system, as we head gently uphill to reach the outskirts of Upper Upham. The route then drops down past the site of the medieval village of Snap, before climbing gently to Snap Farm, following which, it undulates past Round Hill Downs, Chase Wood, Moore's Wood, Oak Stagger and Cottage Copse. We return to the cars via Green Pond, Pentico Wood and Southern Copse, passing the site of a Roman building on the way.
