Overview

A fabulous walk to explore the natural wonders of Alport Castles. Starting from the Fair Holmes carpark on the edge of Ladybower we will start our ascent up through Locker brook coppice before heading across the moors above Bellhagg and Pasture Tors. After reaching Alport Castles we descend to Alport farm and then down to the bridge across the river Ashop. We then recross the river further on before climbing back up to Rowlee farm. Crossing the path near the start we descend down to the reservoir and finish with a gentle stroll by the water.

Fairly strenuous with a couple of steep ascents. Expect mud/boggy ground so good boots required.
Hopefully there will be good views if the weather is kind!
