Overview

A circular walk from Alstonefield to the unspoilt White Peak village of Wetton, through picturesque limestone scenery and farmland.  Wetton was first settled in medieval times and takes its name from nearby Wetton Hill, which literally means 'wet hill'.

Start place: Public car park (and toilets) in Alstonefield. Pay and Display - all day parking £6.60. Take the A52 to Ashbourne, then the A515 to Green Lane (the Newton House Hotel), then follow hte signs to Alstonefield. The car park and toilets are signed.
