A delightful circular walk following open fields, woodland and green lanes we will steadily make our way up to the uplands of the Begwns. Once on the open land it is nice easy ramble (with spectacular views across to Herefordshire and Powys) on good paths, up to the "Roundabout" and trigpoint. Here we will be rewarded with more excellent views, the Black Mountains to the east and the Brecon Beacons to the south, and a place to rest in the walled enclosure of the “Roundabout” where there is stone seating. Our climbing for the day is now over. Taking a completely different route, we take a nice steady walk back down to our starting point enjoying more wonderful views from yet another angle. There is very little road walking and what there is is on very quiet lanes.
