As the walk takes place on Remembrance Sunday we will take a stroll through Crickhowell, visiting the War Memorial, which now stands on the site of the former War Memorial hospital. We will then walk to visit some of the Commonwealth war graves in St Edmunds Churchyard before ascending Table Mountain.
Our route up Table mountain will follow the stream through woodland at Cwm Cwmbeth before passing a stone sheepfold and taking hillside paths towards the Iron Age Hillfort. After climbing to the fort and, if the weather is kind, enjoying extensive views of the Sugar loaf, Llangattock Escarpment and Bannau Brycheiniog, we will descend and follow field paths around the side of Table mountain, before returning to Crickhowell.
Some uneven paths which may be muddy.
Please message the Walk Leader, Hilary S. (07549 338322) to book places on this walk.
