We are the Alton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will head North West via Ash Wood to West Tisted to the North East tip of Bramdean Common. Then East via Merryfield Farm to West Tisted Common along Brewers Lane. Circle South to Woodside Farm then South West to Lane End Road. Turn left (South East) then South West along the footpath adjacent to the dismantled railway bringing us back to The Angel Hotel.
A reasonably flat circular route from the newly refurbished The Angel Hotel. Some great views across the Hampshire countryside. Mainly open farmland and quiet country roads. At this time of year some of the terrain may be restricted, but not impassable, by the Summer growth of vegetation. There are 2 unmaintained styles which are negotiable with care.
There is ample parking at the hotel and they have some really nice outdoor seating should the weather be kind.
We will stop for a little snack break about half way, so do bring your own snack.
