We are the Alton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting in Kingsley village taking the country paths through woodlands, over open farmland and on quiet country roads.
We will start at Kingsley Pond public car park, walk through The Brocas, across the A325 to join Shipwrights Way in the Bordon Inclosure. Continue on Shipwrights Way across Broxhead Common, past the sand pits at Ranks Hill to Frithend. On through Abbotts Wood inclosure, Alice Holt Forest and across the A325 at Bucks Horn Oak. Walking through Blacknest Golf Course into Alice Holt Forest Straits Inclosure to Country Market and back to the start through Kingsley Common.
A moderately hilly walk, taking to country paths through woodlands, over open farmland and on quiet country roads. Some styles.
We will be taking a short break at about the 3 mile stage, lunch break about half way and a short break at about 10 miles. Please bring your own provisions.
This is an Alton Walking Festival 2026 (AWF) walk. You must book a place on the AWF website to join this walk. (AWF website booking will open on 1 April 2026).
