Overview

This walk explores the attractive countryside around and to the south of Ashford Hill. Our route starts at Ashford Hill Recreation Ground and heads west to Woodhouse Lane. Here we turn south, before crossing the Ashford Hill-Headley road and following Ram Alley past Woodlands House and on along tracks and paths to Watchbury Copse. At this point we turn SE and cross the Ashford Hill-Kingsclere road, before turning NE to Wheathold and then down through Sleepers Copse to the entrance to Ashford Hill National Nature Reserve. From here we cross the water meadows on our way back to the car park.
