This challenging circular route offers a full day of tough hillwalking. The loop ascends to the summit of Auchnafree Hill, a Corbett delivering superb views over Loch Turret and the surrounding Perthshire landscape. Be prepared for uneven, rocky and boggy terrain. The initial ascent is narrow and steep on loose ground.
This is a hillwalk involving rough terrain, though also good hill tracks and paths. In spite of being well into spring, inclement weather is still very much possible and, as much time is spent at a high altitude, please ensure that you wear or carry full hill gear, including good mountain boots, wind and waterproof clothing, hat, gloves and spares. Sufficient food and drink will need to be carried for a full day in the hills.
