Nice circular route starting at Lochore Meadows Country Park, Fife following the path along Loch Ore before heading up to reach the trig on Benarty Hill. We will firstly take a steady undulating walk up through Harran Hill Wood, with a short tea break stop before taking the slower pace up the slightly steeper path up to the Seamark rock outcrop. (It takes it's name from when it was used as a marking point by mariners on the Firth of Forth). We continue across the undulating plateau to the trig.
From there we will go slightly west along the path to the corner of the crags to where a fort used to stand to get some lovely views over to the Lomond Hills, the Queensferry Crossing, and looking down onto Loch Leven, where this is a nice spot to have our lunch stop. From there we will continue along the flat top path following the wall to pick up the route downhill through Egg Plantation and back into Benarty Woods, to retrace our steps back through Harran Hill and alongside Loch Ore back to car park.
We then have the option to have a nice refreshment and cake in the Visitors Centre before returning home.
Please let walk leader know by Friday 27th March if you intend to join the walk.
