From the quintessentially English village of Biddestone, this walk drops downhill into the By Brook Valley at Slaughterford where we will pause for a break at the picturesque church. We return via Weavern Lane, which is passable at this time of year, with a moderate climb of 350 feet in the 1¼ miles beyond Slaughterford. Good views, Cotswold architecture, two beautiful villages and the bonus of public toilets and very few stiles! Bring snack.

Park in the vicinity of Biddestone’s duckpond where we will start the walk; there is usually a service in the local church on the third Sunday of the month so minimise parking in Church Road please. Postcode: SN14 7DG
