This is not our usual kind of hike! This is an early morning meander through the forest listening to and looking for local birds. Bring binoculars and prepare for a very quiet but interesting 2 hour gentle walk.
On the day, our mentor will be Ed Drewitt, an ornithologist and expert on Peregrines. There will be a charge of £15 per person (much reduced from the normal cost of this experience) payable in advance and non refundable.
Numbers are limited to 15
This will be a circular walk from the Speech House to Crabtree Hill and Woorgreens Lake through the Great Kensley Inclosure; taking in a variety of broadleaved and conifer woodlands, small clearings, open heath and water to give the best chance of finding the largest variety of bird-life.
All in all this should be an unforgettable experience and a rare opportunity to be shown, here in the forest, what we unknowingly pass-by on our usual walks.
Please note that this is a, rather earlier than usual, 9 am start time and for obvious reasons it isn't possible to include dogs.
To book let me know by text on 0787 666 4545 and get the £15 to me by Tuesday May 5th
