The start of the walk will be a steady climb to join ‘The Ridgeway Footpath’.
We will walk in a southerly direction along a flat mountain top then head west to St. Cein’s Church, Llangeinor.
N.B. The lunch stop will be at St. Cein’s Church where members of the congregation will serve tea, coffee, cakes and local produce.
Donations for the church funds are welcome!
We then walk downhill to Pantyawel to join the cycle track and return to the car park.
Stiles: There are 2 stiles
Terrain: Some uphill sections. Mostly good paths
Toilets: At end of walk in the pub

Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to The Fox and Hounds.
Directions: Travel time from Swansea: approximately 45 mins.
- Leave M4 at J36 (Sarn Services).
- Stay in left lane.
- Take 2nd exit (signed Bryncethin A4061)
- Speed Camera on descent
- At traffic-controlled Y-Junction, keep right on A4061
- Continue straight at roundabout, signposted Nantymoel A4061
- Continue about 2 miles
- At bottom of hill, (after entering Blackmill on A4061) -
turn left immediately between
MURCO Petrol Station and Fox & Hounds Pub.
(N.B. Here ignore Sat Nav if it wants to continue along main road).
- Pass entrance to Fox and Hounds
- Turn right between footbridge and café.
- It appears to be a dead end but here -
Turn left to cross an old river bridge
- Enter Blackmill Cattle Market car park.
