A walk in pleasant Essex countryside following the Stour Valley Way at times with a variety of scenery. Despite Essex having a reputation for being flat there are a some uphill stretches but nothing particularly steep. Footpaths may be overgrown so long trousers are advisable. There is a pub along the way but please bring a packed lunch as due to the late start and the time it takes to reach the pub, we may stop for a picnic beforehand. The walk finishes by passing some historic buildings in Sudbury. The finishing time is an estimate and will depend on a number of factors including the weather, the speed the group walks at and the number of breaks taken.
Take the 10.07 from Liverpool Street (destination Ipswich) change at Marks Tey (arriving 11.04) to the Sudbury branch service on platform 3 (depart 11.13) arriving Bures 11.29.
