An enjoyable walk that follows the River Ver trail, through Verulamium Park, across to Redbournebury mill and shop as mentioned in the Domesday book , and over to Harpenden for a picnic lunch.

Then we head back to St Albans via Childwickbury, past Stanley Kubrick's impressive former mansion.

There should be time to have a look around St Albans Town and the Cathedral at the end with plenty of pubs too.
