Seen the film? Now walk the walk.
This is an urban walk starting at Swiss Cottage and swinging through West London to finish on the South Bank.
On the way we will identify 14 buildings that have been classed as Brutalist Architecture in London. We will look at how building projects were tackled 60 years ago at a time when the white heat of technology was seen as a route to building a better society. En-route we will pass through the suburbs of Kensington, local parks and follow the course of the Grand Union Canal and the Portobello Road. Lunch will be taken in Holland Park and in the afternoon we will head South and East and pass through Royal Parks and Mayfair to cross into Lambeth to complete our walk on the South Bank.
