Overview

We'll meet up in Ashby to catch the 10am number 19 bus to Netherseal.  The walk back will take in the church at Stretton en le Field, Robins at Oakthorpe, and some of the many paths at Hicks Lodge.  We'll have 2 stops en route - coffee stop will be at outside Robins at Oakthorpe where you can either sit out with your own refreshments, or grab something from their cafe if you wish.  Lunch will be at Hicks Lodge - again there are picnic tables outside and also the chance to purchase refreshments if you wish.  Toilets are also available at both stops.

There is a bit of lane walking at the start of the walk and a bit of  town walking towards the end.  In between it's a mix of field paths with some cycle paths around Hicks Lodge.

Bus stop on Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch (near to Air Ambulance Shop, about half way up Market Street), LE65 1BB. Free parking can usually be found on the Bath Grounds at Ashby (accessed off Station Road, Ashby - track leading to Ashby Cricket Club). All day parking can also be found in the pay and display car park off Nottingham Road (accessed via Warner Road, LE65 1EL). Please note - the bus leaves Market Street at 10am and we will meet at the bus stop,
