Starting at a well-known local nature reserve, this is primarily a field path and farm/cycle track walk, taking in several villages, a church (lunch stop) and a quarry. One main road to cross (twice). There are frequent stiles, some requiring a bit of a stretch (sorry!) Any stragglers may be thrown into an 18th century lock-up. With luck, we may see a hovercraft en-route.
There is free car parking at the start but no toilets. We will pass Worthington Post Office to buy snacks if required, or please bring your own refreshments. We will also pass the George & Dragon pub near Thringstone where customer toilets are usually available after 12 noon. De-brief should be possible at the Ferrer's Arms, Lount.
