A walking group for young people in the Shropshire area. We have walks on most weekends, mid-week in the summer as well as socials and weekends away too.

We will start in Cannock Chase before heading out of the forest and onto the canals towards Great and Little Hayward where you'll be able to see views of Tixall Hall and then Shrugborough Hall before we head away from the canal and make our way back towards the forest to finish the walk. Getting between canal and forest does mean there are two very short road sections but these are not generally busy. One of the roads does lack a pavement in parts so caution is needed briefly here. The walk will largely be flat with the exception of two short climbs, one short and sharp but nothing that should not be manageable for all. For anyone interested we can head to a cafe or pub afterwards but this will require a short drive too. There is also the option for a very short diversion to a farm shop approx 3 miles into the walk if anyone wants cake or sweet treats.
There are many car parks on Cannock Chase so details of the exact start point will be sent out separately to anyone who signs up nearer the time
