Leaving Castleton we walk eastwards to Brough on a pleasant, largely flat path through fields above Peakshole Water. We then begin the ascent which takes us to Win Hill, mostly gradual but with two steeper sections. Wonderful panoramic views from Win Hill. We then continue to Hope Cross (probable lunch stop). Soon afterwards we walk down to cross the stream at Jaggers Clough and enter Backside Woods. We return skirting Lose Hill, then via Townhead and the Training/Conference centre back to Castleton. Paths are generally good.
