Overview

A walk through a landscape changing with the seasons, history and its use.

We start by descending to the Pilgrims Way which we follow, as the ancient pilgrims did, before ascending the North Downs to Holly Hill and making our way north to Luddesdown via Greatpark and Horseholders woods.

The former Organic Farm at Luddesdown is now a much extended Vineyard spread across the surrounding hills. After lunch we head south joining the Wealdway near Great Buckland.  We follow the Wealdway south to Poundgate, passing the site of the "Lost village of Dode, the population of which was wiped out by the Black Death 1349.". From Poundgate we make our way through Whitehorse Wood back to the start.
