We are the Sheffield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From Elton we will go through Gratton Dale to Pikehall and over to Royston Rocks and Royston Grange (site of a medieval grange and field system and a 19c pump house). We will then go to Minninglow Hill where there is a Neolithic Chambered tomb and Bronze Age barrows. From here we go to Alwark and cross fields to return to Elton on the Limestone way.
The walk is mainly on good paths, tracks and minor roads with only short sections of more challenging path which can be taken carefully or avoided by a road detour.
This is a car ramble so we will meet to share cars on Ecclesall Road at the junctions of Knowle Lane and Millhouses Lane. We aim to leave by 9.15.
