if you've never walked the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds or would like to enjoy a different walk to the one we did last year, this is your opportunity. Our walk takes us from the village of Thixendale to the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy and back along the Wolds Way with big skies and extensive views. Gradual ascents and descents and 1 stile.
This is a coach ramble with the coach leaving the car park at Rowms Lane Social Club at 8.30am. To book your seat on the coach, please contact Pat White on 07759 599483 or socialsecretary@dearnevalleyramblers.org.uk .
Whether you're travelling by coach or independently for the walk, please also contact Bob(phone or text to 0703 218987) to book on the walk.
Thixendale Church Hall will be open at the start of the walk for refreshments and toilets, and the village pub for drinks and facilities at the end. We will be stopping at the Ferguson Fawsitt pub in Walkington on the return journey for a meal - please contact Pat as above for details and bookings.
The walk is dog-friendly, they must be on fixed leads at all times, but unfortunately we cannot take dogs on the coach.
