Join us for an early evening walk at Beecraigs Country Park, starting with a steady climb up Cockleroy Hill & rewarding views across West Lothian, before descending for a relaxed walk through woodland, farmland & around Beecraigs Loch. Along the way we’ll hear a little about the area’s rich history — from ancient settlements and old limestone workings to the creation of the reservoir & country park we enjoy today.
A sociable, leisurely paced walk with time to take in the scenery & stories of this fascinating landscape.
It is advisable to wear walking trainers or boots as we will be walking on forestry paths & tracks which can be muddy after rain. As the clocks do not change until the end of the month it is advisable to bring a headtorch or hand held torch with you to light the path as you walk.
Places are limited to 20 people so it is essential you book with the walk leader if you wish to attend this walk & advise if you are car sharing. There is limited parking at the start of the walk so please car share where possible.
