Overview

A morning walk in the old mining area of the Tamar Valley passing old mine chimneys, the Danescoombe valley in the Cotehele estate to Calstock quay where we will stop for our coffee break. Our return journey takes the Tamar Valley Discovery Trail along the banks of the Tamar to Okeltor, then up to Calstock church and on  via Oakenhayes back to the start of our walk.

A picturesque walk through history. Lanes, old tracks and footpaths, mostly down hill to Calstock and mainly uphill return after Oakeltor.

Park where you can near the Tamar Valley Discovery Centre On the Albaston road shortly after it leaves the A390 near Gunnislake station. Meet at Discovery Centre entrance.
