We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start from Simmons Park and pick up the Dartmoor Way to walk alongside the East Okement river. A picturesque riverside walk. We head back through the woods, hopefully with some autumn leaf colour.
Riverside path is rocky in places and might be slippy after wet weather. A couple of ascents along the river and a gradual ascent as we head away from the river, through a farm and alongside East Hill from where we head downhill. Please check here again the day before the walk for any changes.
We’ll stop for coffee en route. Also an option to stop for further coffee/tea/cake at a cafe near the end of the walk. Dogs on leads around livestock.
