Starting from the far car park round Fernworthy Reservoir we take forest tracks to the open moor visiting Stone circles, deserted farms, and climb to the peak of Whitehorse hill: site of 2 memorial stones, a recently discovered cyst and down a peat path. Great open moorland views from the 4 tors we cross.
This is on open moorland with only rough tracks and likely to be boggy in places so bring gaiters and usual moorland weather gear. Toilet facilities only at the first Fernworthy car park.
Moderate/strenuous due to possible overgrown paths in one area
