We are the North East London Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Meet at Bench by 10.45 at the very latest, though most people arrive earlier. After coffee, at 11.00, we will have an optional meandering walk, visiting small parks and open spaces along the way. There is a drop-out at Barbican Tube Station. We eventually reach St Paul's Cathedral, after 2¾ miles, and we will probably have our picnics in the vicinity. The Tube station and pay toilets are nearby. We then follow the Thames, with drop-out options near Cannon Street, Bank and Monument stations. At the Tower of London there are more pay toilets, with the Tube and DLR stations beyond.
Bring a picnic if you plan to walk beyond the Barbican.
Bench, The Goldsmiths' Centre, 42 Britton Street, EC1M 5AD. Bench is close to the Farringdon Stations' main entrances, which face each other. On leaving either station, go towards the Petit Pret on a corner and turn left into Turnmill Street. Cross the road and turn right into Benjamin Street, between a Co-op and Ladbrokes. Walk along Benjamin Street until you reach Britton Street. Opposite are the Goldsmiths' Centre and Bench. There are toilets in the Goldsmiths' Centre.
