Rescheduled from 02/11
A ramble in the Kent countryside following lesser known paths initially. Leaving Cowden station we head towards Bilton's Gill, Truggers Gill, Walnut Tree Cross and Stock Wood before joining a well trodden path to Hever. Please note this is a semi-recced, exploratory walk and some of the paths are overgrown and muddy. The walk will involve some scrambling up an embankment, through brambles and over a fallen tree. A small adventure! Boots recommended and poles may be helpful.
Lunch will be at Hever where there is a pub and a picnic site. **Bring packed lunch** Walkers may decide to drop out at this point to visit Hever Castle (there won't be time at lunch unfortunately due to daylight hours, and tickets, if purchased, are for specific time slots). There is a train station at Hever which we will pass as we continue our route and join the Eden Valley Walk to Edenbridge.
