We are the Sutton Coldfield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A moderate 5.5 mile circular walk starting from the Nelson Inn, taking in fields, established footpaths and minor roads. The route follows the Heart of England Way to Chorley Place Farm, then crosses open fields to Farewll. From there we go along minor roads to Gorton Lodge, before turning back towards Chorley Hall. We then go right along Green Lane, around Gentleshaw Hill before crossing fields to pass the Drill Inn, then along a good track back to the Nelson Inn. Refreshments available at the pub after the walk. There are good walking paths, a couple of gentle inclines and several stiles to cross.

Meet at Wyndley Swimming Pool car park 08:45 for car sharing. Directions to the Nelson Inn, Cresswell Green: Take the A5127 to Lichfield. At the roundabout, before entering Lichfield, take the first left onto Falkland Road and Lindburgh Avenue. At the third roundabout, take the first left onto Walsall Road and at the next roundabout, the A5190, Lichfield Road. Continue for 2 miles, at the traffic lights turn right onto Farewell Lane, then onto Coulter Lane. After one mile, the Nelson Inn is on the left. Park at the back of the pub.
