Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform, at Victoria station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train or at the station in Darwen. 

Transport to Walk Start: 10:48 train from Manchester Victoria (final destination Clitheroe). 

Suggested Ticket: Off-Peak Day Return to Darwen £10.60

Walk Start: Darwen railway station at 11:30.

Waypoints: Sunnyhurst Wood, Earnsdale Reservoir, Tockholes Rd, Darwen Tower.

Return Services: x:56 until 16:56, 17:52, 18:58, 20:27, 20:56, 21:56, 23:15

Extra: No toilets at walk start or en route. Optional drinks at the end of the walk.

The walk takes us over woodlands and moorland to Darwen Tower.

There are one or two fairly steep ascents, plus one long, steep climb to the summit. It may be boggy in places.
