Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Poynton station.

Transport to Walk Start: 09:46 train from Manchester Piccadilly

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Poynton £9.00

Walk Start: Poynton Railway Station at 10:10

Waypoints: Poynton Brook, Poynton Coppice, Poynton Marina, Nelson’s Pit, Haresteads Farm, Lyme Park

Return Services: 15.30, 16.30, 17.30 18.30

This scenic and varied walk around the Cheshire countryside takes in a number of interesting sights including a WW2 gun emplacement, a collection of old digging vehicles, Poynton Coppice, Macclesfield canal and the lovely Lyme Park and Hall.

This is a mostly flat walk with a slight incline up to Lyme Park.
