Meet at the Sandown Castle Community Garden where there is free on-street parking along Sandown Road and Canute Road, please park considerately. Note, there are no public toilets at the starting point. This is a circular walk to Sandwich following the Saxon Shore Way, returning across Worth Marshes and the Ancient Highway. There will be a 45-minute lunch stop at Sandwich Quay where there are public toilets. Cafes and bars are near to the Quay or bring a packed lunch. Estimated finish time 15:00. The route is completely flat, but expect some muddy conditions at Worth Marshes.
