From Livingston North Station we will follow surfaced paths to reach Dechmont Woods which we will walk through, passing the well-known site of a UFO incident in 1979 before ascending Dechmont Law from which we should hopefully be rewarded with far reaching views in all directions.
For those who do not wish to ascend Dechmont Law there is an alternative route around the base of the hill.
How well can you recognise familiar places in the evening light? After seeing what places, we can recognise we will continue through the park & return along surfaced paths to the start.
Walking boots & a headtorch are recommended as the woods are unlit & may be muddy, especially after rain.
We will meet in Livingston North Railway Station car park (Glasgow side) where the walk will start at 6.45pm
