On leaving the car park we cross the busy A6 road and head down to the Peak Forrest Canal. After a short distance we leave the canal and follow path to Hague Bar Bridge. From here we start the long ascent to Hague Bar and on to the Fox Inn.
We turn downhill to Strines station and onto the valley path to the Roman Bridge. From here we ascend back to the Peak Forest Canal. After a short distance on the canal we take the path to Disley Golf Course. After crossing the golf course we follow a woodland path back to the A6 road. We then cross the road ( note this is very busy and due care needs to be taken) to Lyme Park and follow the road back to Disley station.
