From Disley station we walk along Green Lane, following the Gritstone Trail before heading off to Brines and then Norwood Farm. Skirting Broadhey Hill we reach Furness Vale, crossing the A6 to the canal. After a short stretch of canal we descend to cross the Goyt, making our way to New Mills and Millennium walkway. We continue along the river before climbing up to Hague Bar, Fox Inn and eventually down to Strines. We make our way back to Disley via the golf course.
This walk will be followed by our Spring Social meal at the Dandy Cock in Disley which needs to be booked in advance. However you are more than welcome to join the walk even if you are not intending to stay for the meal
