This is a circular walk from Bromyard, along country lanes and farmland tracks, through woodland and common land.
Leaving Bromyard, we make our way to the Herefordshire Trail, which we follow for a couple of miles before turning off and walking through gently undulating countryside towards the Bromyard Downs.
The Downs covers 114 hectares of common land. This vast expanse of land, which formed part of the ancient Manor of Bromyard, offers gentle climbs, ancient woods, impressive views and an abundance of nature.
Our return takes us along lanes and tracks through woodland and along arable and pasture land, back via the Trail to the town.
The tracks and paths are well-trodden and there are no steep climbs and only a few stiles.
We will meet at the car park in front of the Conquest Theatre. The charge for all-day parking is £3. There are toilet facilities available.
For those wishing to car-share from Ross, meet at Wilton Road Car Park at 8.50am.
