Join us for a unique perspective of the local landscape as we summit Dumyat under the stars!
This evening walk takes us from the Pendreich Forest car park up to one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Stirling area. While this is a popular hill, tackling it in the dark offers a fantastic new challenge and, weather permitting, spectacular views of the twinkling lights of Stirling, the Forth Valley, and the Ochil Hills.
Route Details:
- Starting Point: Pendreich Forest Car Park.
- Route: We will follow the established hill path toward the summit.
- Terrain: The walk is primarily on well-maintained paths. However, please be aware that there are several rough and uneven sections, as well as muddy patches (especially after rain).
Essential Gear:
- Lighting: As this walk will be conducted in total darkness, a high-quality torch or headlamp (with spare batteries/power bank) is mandatory. A phone light will not be sufficient for the terrain.
- Footwear: Proper walking boots with good ankle support and grip are required due to the muddy and rocky nature of the path.
- Clothing: It can be significantly colder and windier at the summit than in the car park; please bring warm layers and waterproofs.
