We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 9.5 mile circular walk with great views. From East Dean over to Birling Gap at c. 2.5 miles where we'll stop for a short break (toilets) before walking over the Seven Sisters to Cuckmere Haven and onto Exceat where we'll stop for a picnic lunch at c. 6 miles. Cafe and toilets. Lunch may not be until 2pm depending on how people get on with the Sisters so bring snacks. Returning via Friston Forest to East Dean.
This is a hilly walk! The Seven Sisters are not to be underestimated and have long climbs and descents but with fabulous views as a reward!
Accessible by bus - due to the half marathon, the #12 bus leaves from Upper Bedford Street at 09:10. Arrives close to the start point at 10:13. Please check on bus changes here (https://www.buses.co.uk/services/BH/12?date=2024-02-25&direction=outbound). Short walk to the start car park.
If driving please offer others a lift.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
