This moderately strenuous walk begins in the peaceful village of East Meon. We will follow a variety of bridleways and paths through fields and woodlands and a few short stretches of road and take in beautiful views across to Butser Hill and the surrounding area along the way (weather permitting!). We begin by crossing the Churchyard and heading towards Drayton, then Tegdown, Oxenbourne, Cumber's Lane and return to the village via Park Hill. There are some steep climbs and decents (400-500 metres), which are likely to be muddy and slippery in places (walking poles are recommended).
Please meet at 9.45, ready to leave promptly at 10.00.
Please bring a picnic, drinks and snacks. There are no toilets en route.
Only well-behaved dogs on leads please-the walk goes through some fields containing livestock.
You are most welcome to join us for a drink afterwards at Ye Olde George Inn, East Meon
