A walk by the River Blackwater and through Moor Green Lakes nature reserve. The route also includes part of the woods at Finchampstead Ridges, where there should be a beautiful display of bluebells and wild garlic.
There will be a stop for lunch at Horseshoe Lake after just under 5 miles where there is a café and toilets.
Optional drinks afterwards at the Frog and Wicket in Eversley (car park is behind the pub, RG27 0NS, what3words: suitably.material.assembles ).
This walk is flat with no stiles, but may be muddy in places after rain. The plan is to walk at a moderate pace (2.5 - 3 mph) but with time for photos and to look at interesting wildlife and flowers we see on the way.
Please bring drinks and a packed lunch. Hot drinks, cakes and ice cream will be available at the café, but there won't be time for everyone to buy lunch!
All welcome including well-behaved dogs on leads.
