Overview

A short gentle stroll around Southampton Common, all on hard paths so not affected by any previous rain. Sensible shoes are sufficient.

There will be short pauses to admire the wildlife at The Lake and at Cemetery Lake. There will be a pause at the reservoir (not that you can see it) so you can consume any snack you have brought.

There are no toilets unless you visit The Cowherds before or afterwards

Although accessible by public transport, the Blue Star 1 is only hourly in the evenings.

The public parking in Cemetery Road. Go down The Avenue. At the end of the Common, turn right just before the traffic lights and immediately turn right over the "pedestrian priority" hump into Cemetery Road.
