The route is a mixture of woodland and roadside pavements. There is ascent during the walk, but nothing too strenuous. From the layby we'll head up towards Middleton, through Sissons Wood, and will have views towards Morley. We then head up to West Ardsley and the trig point at Tingley Hall, which was kept as part of the housing estate. We then head downhill to the layby where we started.
The start point is less than a mile from the White Rose Centre.

The A653 is a dual carriageway that runs between the White Rose Centre and the M62.
There is a roundabout with Wide Lane, with a McDonalds on the corner of the roundabout (previously a pub). There are laybys close to this roundabout. Wide Lane, Morley LS27 8PL
We'll meet in the layby on the side of the road that leads up to the M62. Sandy's Cafe is beside this layby, it will be closed so we can meet on the grass in front of it.
If you park in the layby heading towards the White Rose Centre, walk on the pavement down to the roundabout and cross the road carefully, then make your way to Sandy's Cafe .
