This walk is a circuit of the great woods that surround the village of Fernhurst, just south of Haslemere. The quiet village with its church, pub, green and historic houses is a charmer. The vast woodlands make this a  perfect walk for any time of year. The walk includes the dramatic one-mile unbroken hike across Cognor Wood.
