We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A walk across the Forth Road Bridge which opened in 1964 linking the communities of North & South Queensferry. The route is along the footway on the bridge, which now has reduced traffic & offers great views of the Forth as well as the iconic red Forth Rail Bridge & the new Queensferry Crossing which opened in 2017. We may also be fortunate to see the stars in the night sky too.
We will return to the start in South Queensferry by the same route. For those who have time & want to there are plenty of opportunities for refreshments in the town at the end of the walk.
The walk is on paved paths throughout. The nearest toilets open at the time of the walk will be inside Tesco, South Queensferry.
Livingston North Railway Station Car Park, Glasgow side, for car sharing at 6.15pm.
