Overview

Leaving the Abbey visitor centre we walk through Studley deer park to Studley Roger then on a good level track to the edge of Ripon. After a short stretch by R Skell and a steep flight of steps we cross Hell Wath nature reserve to Hell Wath cottage, Whitcliff Hall and Mackershaw lodge, before descending to the lake..

After a short steep climb we retrace our earlier steps to the visitor centre.

No stiles, no dogs please.
